Orig. published in 1941 by Crown, this is the First Printing of the contemporaneous reprint from Saalfield, not a modern reprint, listing only to previous book in front matter. In 246 pages + ad for next title in rear, this 12mo has deep red cloth-covered boards lettered & stamped with a black image of Dave & his plane to front/lettering to spine. Condition is VG: very clean, binding strong & straight, but front hinge is cracked. Pages heavily tanned, commensurate with poor quality wartime paper, but unmarked. Modest rubbing to extremities. The unclipped DJ is Good: colorful & bright, but with many small chips & short, unclosed tears, rubbing to extremities; looks great in new clear mylar cover!
