Posthumously published work reveals the former UN Secretary-General's "negotiations with myself and with God" from the 1920s-1950s. Orig. published in Swedish ("Vgmrken") in 1963, this is the 1964 First English-language translation, the 20th printing from Nov. 1967, with a Foreword by poet W. H. Auden, in 222 pages. Octavo (5.75" x 8.75") has turquoise blue cloth-covered boards, with blindstamped circular design to front, elaborate gilt ruling & lettering to spine. Condition is Near Fine: exceptionally clean & bright, pages creamy white & unmarked save for former owner's blindstamp across 3 pages in front matter. Yellow-orange top stain is bright. The price-clipped DJ is VG+, with a few tiny spots & irregular darkening, teeny chip at mid-spine where it meets back cover. Our photos depict the EXACT book you will receive from us--never "stock" images of books we don't actually have! Same Day Shipping on all orders received by 2 pm weekdays (Pacific time); later orders, weekends & holidays ship very next business day.
