King's masterful criticism of horror films & broader analysis of the functions (& fun!) of the horror genre in our everyday lives. From 1981, this is a Book Club Edition (BCE), identical in size & appearance to the first edition (which we are also offering; please see our listing #020751). In 400 pages with black-and-white movie photos throughout, this small quarto (6.5" x 9.5") has red paper over quarter maroon cloth-covered boards lettered & ruled in gilt to spine. Condition is Near Fine: exceptionally clean & bright, binding strong & straight, pages stark white & completely unmarked. Crisp corner with slight rubbing to heel of spine. The unclipped DJ is Good: bright & colorful, with vertical splitting on both sides of spine where it meets front & back covers, closed by previous owner with clear tape. Mild-moderate rubbing to extremities & other small tears & creases; nicely protected in new clear mylar cover free (removed for photos accuracy)! Our photos depict the Exact book you will receive, never "stock" images of books we don't actually have! Same day shipping on all orders received by 2 pm Weekdays (Pacific time); later orders, weekends & holidays ship very next business day.
