Solidly bound in green half calf by Jones of Liverpool with rubbed marbled boards and rubbing and a bit of bumping to tips; the green has darkened to olive on the gilt-stamped spine. Silverfish damage on rear endpaper; both front and rear endpapers are foxed. Blind stamp of a previous owner on free endpaper. American author, who started as a novelist, but went on to write books about housekeeping and cookery.
