xvi, 268 pp. Bound in a quarter green leather over green cloth boards, the front of which is stamped with a gilt crest. Spine has raised bands and a red leather title label, with gilt lettering and decoration. Marbled endpapers. Diagrammatic illustrations embedded throughout the text, alongside 35 black and white plates. Boards and spine are in very good conditon, with minimal marking and damage. Binding is firm despite a very slight split to the first hinge. Internally bright and clean with no apparent foxing. Contains a bookplate from Harrow County School for Boys, dated 1929, detailing the fact this book was awarded as a prize. Crest stamped on front cover is that of Harrow County School.
