Staining to endpapers from the binders glue, and some foxing throughout, mainly to earliest and final leaves. Front board cracked and slightly loose. Edgewear alongside chipping and some scratching to the leather. Bookplates and pencil inscription to front pastedown. The first issue title referred to 'Volume 1, Part 1', and although a second volume was suggested, it never appeared. Bookplates of Henry Hippisley Coxe of Ston Easton Park and geologist J. C. Thackray.
