First Edition. 12, [20 p. of engravings] pp. Flexible burgundy cloth covers with gilt devices and lettering; all edges gilt. Very wide: 32.5cm x 45cm. Marks to boards and some wear to spine (especially at ends) and corners. Large tear to ffep. repaired, and minor spotting throughout, and a repair to the front hinge; however, a much better than average copy. With engraved title page and 20 large outline style engravings. These interesting illustrations are very much in the Pre-Raphaelite style, although Paton - the artist - turned down membership in the Brotherhood.
