Limited First Edition, presentation copy from the author - no. 10 of 116 produced (nos. 1-11 were not for sale). [11 blank], [vi], 21, [8 blank] pp. Original limited edition paper covers with red flame design to front board; top edge gilt, printed on uncut handmade paper. Spine somewhat discoloured, with some rubbing to extremities and with a few marks to boards. Binding firm. Internally clean and bright. Title page printed in black and red ink. Presentation from author to 'Stella', signed and dated Oct 1936 on ffep. This was the first book produced by the fine letterpress printing firm Rampant Lion Press established by Will Carter, only preceded by a 12 pp. pamphlet. Nichols was a World War I poet, honoured at Poet's Corner alongside Wilfred Owen and 15 other poets.
