Jacket has a tear to front hinge, wear and chipping to extremities though it is largely intact. Internally bright and clean. Large inscription of previous owner to FFEP. The first book of Grass' Danzig trilogy. This volume was adapted into a film which won the Palme D'Or prize at Cannes in 1979 and the Best Foreign Language Film at the Academy Awards in 1980.
