This edition is 1 of 1060 numbered copies, no. 111 and signed by Robert Herring and Edward Bawden. 168 pp. Quarter grey cloth over decorative paper boards, with top-edge gilt. There is slight tanning to edges of boards, and light bumping to spine ends and extremities. The pages are uncut, clean and bright. Includes 13 full page pochoir plates, 6 in-text and illustrated map endpapers of Kew Gardens and Kew Green. Robert Herring was a poet who edited 'The London Mercury' and 'Life and Letters Today'. Edward Bawden was an illustrator of books and posters, who became the official war artist of WWII. This is a vibrant and uncommon book. Although not one of the 60 copies for presentation, this copy is signed by both Bawden and Herring on the limitations page.
