Two volumes in one. First edition, first issue. xi, 320; [viii], 309 pp. 20 black and white plates to each volume. Red half calf over marlbed boards, with raised bands, green and red labels, gilt decorated compartments and gilt lettering to spine; all edges and endpapers marbled. Rubbing to extremities, including spine, which has lightened and spots to calf. Occasional foxing, though overall quite clean internally. First issue with three page postscript at rear of volume two. 'Pricipal' for 'principal' in volume two, pg. 115. With the half-titles.
