Endpapers marbled and top edge gilt. Translated with notes by E. G. King, and with a preface by the Bishop of Durham. Damage to the head of the spine at the rear hinge with loss to the leather measuring 3.5cm x 0.5 cm, alongside scratching to the spine and boards. Minor spots to the prelims, and some occasional markings internally. Binding firm. With a hand written note taped to the first free endpaper by British scholar of Hebrew D. [David] Winton Thomas, and two other notes loosely enclosed which look to be in the same hand. The table bears an ownership label belonging to a Winsome Tuke.
