[ii], 192 pp. Illustrations in colour throughout by Holden. Zaehnsdorf binding of half ochre morocco over marbled boards; raised bands to spine, with gilt devices to compartments, green leather labels, gilt ruling and gilt lettering. Slipcase of cloth, onlaid marbled paper and morocco. All edges gilt and marbled endpapers. Very slight fading to spine labels and slight rubbing at its tail. Holden drew fame following the posthumous publication of her Nature Notes for 1906 in facsimile as The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady in 1977. A limited number of copies this present work were reserved for binding by Zaehnsdorf, though this copy is unnumbered. This copy is signed by Holden's great niece Rowena Stott. 071813390
