Limited edition facsimile, on 'Arches' rag paper, number 267 of 800 copies. 31 single-sided leaves of colour illustrations, unpaginated, followed by 5 pages detailing the production of this work. Quarter tan leather over hardcover boards in leather entry slipcase of similar design. Top edge gilt. Minor rubbing to spine and slipcase leather and no more than a couple of minimal spots internally. Two of the five bibliographic leaves at the rear are loose. The bibliographical statement at the rear of this edition says: The copy of William Blake's Songs of Innocence from which this facsimile has been made is believed to be one of the earliest coloured and issued by the artist. The paper has been specially made with a watermark of Blake's monogram showing on each leaf. The paper is a close match to the paper used by Blake in the original copy. A lovely work.
