c1997. Self-published memoir --INSCRIBED by DAVID H. HINTON--'We Kept Them Flying'-- Nice collectible condition: 8.5"x11", plastic comb-binding, 49 pp. Mr. Hinton graduated Dwight Morrow HS in Englewood, NJ in 1942 and went on to attend Howard University in Washington, DC. Before finishing at Howard, Mr. Hinton enlisted in the Army Air Corps Aviation Cadet Program. He attended flight training and served from 1944-1946 (training at Ft Dix, NJ, Fort McClellan, Alabama, and Tuskegee, Alabama). Mr. Hinton finished his degree at Howard University upon returning home, earning a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering; his career included working on Radio Systems for the Gemini and Apollo projects.
