Green cloth boards with gilt spinal titles. Pasted in Photo of Author on the reverse of the half title page. Gilt spinal titles mostly worn away. Clean and tight throughout, with light corner wear, yellowing to page edges, several spots of slight rubbing to cloth finish on boards, and very modest edgewear - nearly indetectible! Town Map from 1888 in pocket on inside of rear board. Several newspaper clippings tucked inside covers. A wonderful copy overall, with many unique photos of East Weare Village prior to and after the devastating floods of 1938 that resulted in the 1960's US Army Corps of Engineers flood control project that wiped that village off the map.
