This is a very good clean bright original first printng hardcover(stated) in black boards,277 pages, with gilt lettering on the spine. There are no names,marks,plates, etc.inside. Pages are very clean save light age toning. Spine has bright gold lettering making this one of the better examples to be found. It has the original rare trade printing jacket with price clipped. It has Salinger's picture on back. It is in very good condition and is very hard to find original quality jackets with this book. A very rare historic first printing of this American classic.
