Black cloth cover with colour plate on front cover, as produced; no handwriting inside such as names; colour frontis; other illustrations in b/w; book appears to have become a little damp at some time at top and bottom, causing some cockling to pages , mainly at page ends - but no page discolouration or foxing. This book seems to be an old text book or for home schooling from times gone by in the US. It covers the discovery of America by Vikings. Age of book unknown but the only date we can find is 1922 at the bottom of the title page. At rear of book is an advertisement for Jell-O, under which it istates reprinted by permission of John Martin's Book , the Child's Magazine. Also page advertisement for Ivory Soap which 'keeps our Nation clean'. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall
