The dust jacket is rubbed, soiled & chipped with small pieces out & creasing to the top edge. xxxi, [1] leaf & 354 pages. Illustrated with a black-and-white portrait frontispiece. There is light staining & foxing to the front pastedown & endpaper. Very good in a good dust wrapper. Later printing.Inscribed by the author to Mabel Whiteside, with a drawing of seagulls, on the front endpaper: "For Mabel Whiteside / who does in plays and lovely motion what I try to do in words / With my best wishes / Robert P. Tristram Coffin". Mabel K. Whiteside was a professor of Greek at Randolph-Macon Woman's College for fifty years. Each year from 1909 to 1954, she directed an original-language production of a Greek play with her students. Dust jacket present.
