He studied art in Paris and in Bogota, Colombia and became a leading Colombian video artist, exploring the role of myths in Colombian history. "Transhistories" was the title of a 2001 show at the Biblioteca Luis Angel Arango in Bogota, which included video installations, video recordings of one of his recent theatre works, photographs and engravings.
