12mo [5-1/8 inches high by 3-1/4 inches wide], three quarters brown calf & marbled boards. There are some tiny wormholes in the binding. The boards are rubbed with part of the surface of the front board rubbed away & with a small piece out of the top edge of the rear board. The leather is rubbed with the spine darkened & with the bottom corner of the rear cover chipped. xvi & 296 pages. 3 engraved plates, including a frontispiece, & an extra pictorial title page by Dalziel. There are wormholes in the pastedowns & endpapers with occasional minor worming to the text pages. There is staining to the front pastedown & very light dampstaining to the versos of the frontispiece & pictorial title. Good only. First English edition.Ex -"Kandy Library" with the library's name stamped in gilt on the tail of the spine & its blind stamp on the title page.This edition is a reprint, except for the addition of two poems, "To An English Friend" and "The Ploughman". First Edition.
