One corner is bumped and the head & tail of the spine are slightly darkened. There is a tiny glue mark to the dust wrapper's rear panel. The top edge of the panel is slightly darkened & its bottom corner is chipped. Half-title, title, [2] leaves & 463 pages. Illustrated with 2 black-and-white plates [maps]. There is offsetting to the front pastedown & endpaper from a newspaper cutting laid in. The top edge of the book is foxed. Good. First edition.Signed in purple ink on the title page. Additionally inscribed and signed in purple ink on the front endpaper in the year of publication: "Chanukah 1982 / to Gudula & Fritz / with love-- / Cliff". The inscription is surrounded by a wavy line in red pen.The newspaper article which is laid in is about a Tom Mix exhibition at the Library of Congress. Dust jacket present. First Edition.
