At that time, The Beatles who were performing in Germany, still included drummer Pete Best and bassist Stu Sutcliffe. Becoming one of the group's photographers in their leather-clad days, Vollmer's iconic photos so impressed John Lennon that he later used one of them as the cover for his 1975 album "Rock 'n' Roll". Vollmer also later worked as a Hollywood set photographer. First Edition.
