Illustrated with 40 color plates & 194 textual illustrations in black & white. The half-title & the edges of the versos of the plates are darkened & the page edges are slightly darkened. Despite its flaws, a very good copy of an attractive book. Originally published by Bei F. Bruckmann, Munich, in 1917.
