Quarto, 10 inches high by 8-3/8 inches wide. Color pictorial green boards backed with a red cloth spine. The covers are lightly rubbed with wear to the corners. [36] pages, including the endpapers, with a color pictorial title page and 32 charming full-page color illustrations of kittens and dogs, with each section counting down from 10. "Ten little pussy-cats, looking for some fun." with one kitten leaving the group through each rhyme until "One little pussy-cat met a jolly king." The same pattern is repeated with "Ten little puppy-dogs, playing in the lane." There is minor foxing to the endpapers. A diagonal tear to page number 5 of the dog section is repaired with early clear tape and the text block has been repaired with tape along the center between pages number 4 & 3 of that section. Else, an unusually attractive copy. Albert Ernest Kennedy (1883-1963) was an artist and designer of comic postcards specializing in animal subjects.
