Very good. Founded in 1920, the American manufacturer of insulation and construction material, the Celotex Corporation, was a subsidiary of the Philip Carey Corporation. The company produced Celotex insulation board, a fiberboard made from bagasse and went on to be the subject of high-profile lawsuits in the 1980's due to the use of asbestos in several of its products. Emerging from Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 1996, sections of the company were sold off to BPB, Dow, CertainTeed, Knight Industries, and the British firm of Saint Gobain. The latter firm came under scrutiny following the disastrous Grenfell Tower fire in London which was blamed on the misapplication of exterior cladding manufactured by Celotex-Saint-Gobain.
