Octavo, 8-1/2 inches high by 5-1/2 inches wide. Softcover, self-wraps titled in black with a vignette in red on the cover page. 4 pages, including the covers, with the poem printed in black with an initial letter in red on page 3. The pamphlet is folded in half horizontally with some minor light creases. Very good. Inscribed on the page facing the poem by the renowned librarian Philena A. Dickey, director of the Sondley Reference Library in Asheville, NC: "This is one of Victor's hitherto unpublished poems and Elva wanted to use it this year as it is his first Christmas over there." Signed with her initials "P.AD." Further inscribed & signed in full by Dickey below the text of the poem: "Greeting from Philena A Dickey". Elva, who is referred to in the inscription was Victor Starbuck's widow.The American poet Victor Starbuck (1887-1935) died on March 31, 1935. His works include "Wind in the Pines" (1923) and "Saul, King of Israel" (1938).RARE. We have been unable to locate any other copies.
