Octavo, 8-1/4 inches high by 5-1/2 inches wide. Hardcover, bound in brick red cloth titled in gilt on the front cover and spine with an image of a bus in blind on the front cover, in a pictorial dust wrapper designed by Robert Hallock. The top edge is stained green. The head & tail of the dust jacket's spine are rubbed and the edges of the jacket's rear panel and innner flaps are darkened. There is also a tiny hole to the jacket's rear panel with minor dampstaining to that panel's bottom corner. 312 pages. Very good. First edition, first printing, with "Published by The Viking Press in February 1947" and "Printed.by The Haddon Craftsmen" on the copyright page. Dust jacket present. First Edition.
