Hardcover, bound in burgundy cloth titled in gilt on the front cover and in black on the spine with a device in gilt on the front cover. The spine is darkened and there is some dampstaining along the inner edge of the front cover. The corners and head & tail of the spine are bumped. 160 pages, with 139 full page color and black & white illustrations of advertisements. The text block is cracked at page 17 and the book is very lightly shaken. There is minor foxing to the last few pages. Good. First edition. The brief forewords are by S.R. Bernstein, Reginald Clough and Eldridge Peterson. The selections of the advertisements were made by Norman Rockwell, Raymond Loewy, Valentino Sarra, William Howard, P.P. Busse, Lou Smith, Glen U. Cleeton and David Lockwood. First Edition.
