Reprint edition, probably in the series "Blackie's Splendid Half-Crown Books", as verso of title page has an advertisement for this series. [viii], 366 pages + frontispiece + 2 plates. Beige cloth boards with dark red-brown lettering and decoration on spine and front board. Page dimensions: 191 x 133mm. Text block bulks to 44mm width, measured from inner borders of boards, leaves uncompressed. A novel for girls. Illustrated by G. Demain Hammond. Set in Scotland.
