Small 3/8" tear to cloth at ends of spine. 1" loss of cloth along edge of lower corner of front board. Gutters split at hinges. Later owner's pencil signature on front endpaper. Plates generally clean. A few fingermarks or spots of foxing to margins of some plates and other leaves. Tissue guard present to frontispiece. ; Numbered large paper edition. This copy is number 66 [of 100]. vii, [1], 184 pages + frontispiece + illustrated title + 11 plates. Head and tail-piece illustrations. The illustrations are all printed on a thin light grey paper, which is laid down. Contemporary light blue-grey cloth boards. Page dimensions: 216 x 170mm. The illustrations are wood-engravings, engraved by Swain, from illustrations by Walter Crane.
