It is fortunate that the average girl usually reads to pass the time only, often without any real conception of what she is reading. Were it otherise - The young lady reader, with her erotic authors, and her neurotic tastes, is demoralising the public libaries of the world. These institutions, instead of merely placing within the public reach the writings of the masters, do most business in placing within the public reach the trash of the timeservers.
