Small splits to gutters at hinges. 3/4" x 1/4" chip to cloth at head of spine. 3/8" split to cloth in rear joint. Horizontal tear to cloth along tail of spine. Boards clean.; viii, 219 pages + frontis + 37 colour plates. Brown cloth cloth boards with gilt lettering on spine. "To draw an egg correctly is no easy task, as I found to my cost. Not only must all the spots be drawn reversed and in perspective, but (in order to give rotundity to the figure) the egg must be correctly shaded.
