Three volumes. 8vo. viii, 744; 800; 800 pp. Complete with the half-titles in each volume, figures and several tables (one full-page). Later quarter black morocco over navy blue cloth (Vol. 1) and marbled paper-backed boards (Vols. 2-3), gilt spine titles; neatly restored, corners rubbed. Former library bookplate and perforation on titles, but still quite a nice set. Very good. Berard (1797-1858) was a surgeon and was Professor of Physiology at the Faculty of Medicine of Paris.
