Several of the papers are inscribed to the neurosurgeon Leo Max Davidoff (1898-1975) who on occasion worked closely with Chamlin on eye findings and brain tumors. On the top cover of the paper on pituitary tumors and visual fields, Chamlin has inscribed the following note: "Man Chamlin, who merely availed himself of the brilliant guidance and masterful teaching of Leo Davidoff, who is largely responsible for this contributions - Affectionately, Max."
