Octavo Size [approx 15.5 x 22.8cm]. Very Good condition in Very Good Dustjacket. DJ protected in our purpose-made plastic sleeve. A nice copy. Light wear to dustjacket upper edge with light chipping to spine ends. Black & white illustrations by Ann Langford Dent. Robust, professional packaging and tracking provided for all parcels. 102 pages. In 1951 Stanley Rubinstein wrote a Letter to the Editor of The Sunday Times asking why people wrote Letters to Editors. This provoked a response of 4 personal letters and 20 other letters to the Editor of the paper. He has taken each of the 24 letters and as peg upon which to hang reflections and recollections of the amusing things which had happened in the previous fifty years. The then editor, H.V. Hodson judiciously sums up.
