Small Quarto Size [approx 17.5cm x 24cm]. Near Mint condition in pictorial laminated boards. This is a new book with a small bump to the top of the spine. Illustrated with Black & White Photographs and Maps. 306 pages. Based on the original book "Against All Odds" by James Burfitt, published in 1991 - revised and updated. The 2/18th Battalion was raised in north-western NSW and Sydney in June 1940. It was based in Malaya and with the fall of Singapore the battalion went into captivity. For the next 3 and a half years the 2/18th as a unit, functioned primarily as a survival mechanism for its members, unifying disparate groups and giving them hope for survival. Includes the following Decorations, Nominal Roll, and Honour Roll. Robust, professional packaging and tracking provided for all parcels.
