The jacket has some light edge, corner and surface wear including a 1 1/2" slit at the top of the frot flap fold. Square and securely bound, solid copy. ; B&W Photographs; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 175 pages; Great survey with many photos of African-American jazz bands from the early 20th century through the 60's. An interesting sidelight: the ffep has a former owner's name in ink -- Blakey. I have looked at Art Blakey's signature, and there are some similarities, but I do not think this is his signature. An expert might be able to tell for sure.
