The Prairie Prattler, Vol. 5 No. 1

4to-sized (9X12), singlefold, slick paper fan club newsletter for the Sons of the Pioneers. I cannot find a date for this issue (Vol. 5. No. 1) but Vol. 4, No. 4 can be dated to 1949, so I am confidant that this one is from 1950. Hugh Farr is on the cover and there are articles of various types for fans of the group. There are also song lyrics, addresses for other fan clubs and much general information. These fan club newsletters from the 1940's and 50's are quite uncommon. This copy has two horizontal fold lines for mailing and tattering, mainly along the top edge. There much tattering on the edges and many small tears including a 1" one on the bottom fold.
