S. M. Crannis was a composer of popular music in the early 19th century. Do They Miss Me at Home seems to have been a popular number with many different printings. This copy has both 1852 and 1853 dates which I think indicates the first printing. WorldCat locates over twenty copies of this date in libraries. The song was sung by the Amphions, a popular group of the day, and such sentimental songs as this were also popular in minstrelsy. This copy has relatively light wear and aging. It has been disbound from a larger volume but is still securely bound. ; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 6 with covers pages
