The hotel was constructed in 1831and provided lodging for members of the Maine legislature and many famous guests throughout its history; among the best known were Presidents Richard Nixon and Theodore Roosevelt, both of whom delivered speeches there. The Augusta House also hosted various conventions. This particular menu was prepared for the pilgrimage of the Trinity Commandery, Knights Templar of Hudson, Massachusetts. The front of the menu features a picture of the hotel and the reverse side is illustrated with the Knights Templar coat of arms, incorporating a variety of emblems associated with Freemasonry. Bi-fold. Soiling, crease on front panel. Good.
