Pierre Dalloz (1900-1992) was a French alpinist, photographer, and writer. He was also a member of the French Resistance during World War II. He began practicing mountaineering at the end of World War I, and during his alpine career, he made over 30 first ascents, including several in winter.First thus, text portion of Haute Montagne republished in a slim paperback volume.
