Motoring Down to Rio in the Gripsholm

Colorful advertisement for a 1937 cruise that folds out into a poster. Ports of call, staterooms and common areas of the ship are photographically depicted alongside text touting the amenities on board. An early diesel powered vessel, the Gripsholm boasted a speed of 425 miles per hour. In World War II the vessel served many diplomatic missions to repatriate US and British citizens in exchange for German and Japanese nationals. Some wear at the folds. Very Good.
