Four Christmas cards: three at 110 x 165 mm. and one at 170 x 140 mm. each on thick card with gilt edges, designed by Lockwood and probably to Judge Sir James Bacon. The fifth item is a printed invitation card in a much earlier style and dated 1865. Each one bears his printed initials. This item may have at some time been mounted and will bear traces on the reverse of adhesive or removal of mounts. Frank Lockwood [1846 - 1897] was a lawyer and Liberal Party Politician. He was also a talented cartoonist who contributed to Punch from 1893 - his death. Some of his Christmas cards were published posthumously in The Frank Lockwood Sketch Book [1898].
