Broadside, 260 x 205 mm. printed on pink paper. This item may have at some time been mounted and will bear traces on the reverse of adhesive or removal of mounts. D’Arcy Wentworth Thompson [1829 - 1902] was a scholar and Professor of Greek at Queen’s College, Galway. Prior to that appointment he was a classical master at Edinburgh Academy with Robert Louis Stevenson as one of his pupils. He contributed a number of essays and poems to The Scotsman and Macmillan’s Magazine; I can find no record of this separate publication.
