Small 4to. pp. xvi, 368; 71 illustrations. Original cloth, apart from some occasional very light internal spotting, a Fine copy. Mawson was the first President of the Institute of Landscape Architects and was responsible for a number of important gardens in Britain and overseas. His firm, Thomas H. Mawson and Son, eventually closed in 1978 and the archives are held by Cumbria Archives Service in Kendal, close to where he made his home in Windermere.
