Peacock’s Double Dissection. Geography. Europe.

2 sided dissected wooden puzzle with hand coloured lithographic illustrations pasted on: a map of Europe to one side and a scene from Cinderella to the other, 270 x 325 mm. Complete with no loss or damage, in the original mahogany box with sliding lid with colour illustrations; illustration a little worn. Peacock did not produce his own maps but used those from other publishers, usually John Betts, or, as here, George Philip. Unusually there is a scene from a fairy story on the verso rather than the more common Kings and Queens of England.
