Original watercolour illustration for the title page to a scrap book, 270 x 210 mm. Henry Warren [1794 - 1879] was an artist and designer for wood engravings, if which this is probably an example. He was famous for his large and detailed watercolours of elaborate and fanciful Oriental subjects inspired by David Roberts. This watercolour was used as the engraved title page for The History of Ireland published by Tallis in 1848 and shows George IV’s visit to Ireland in 1821.
