Bilfolium, 310 x 190 mm. old creases. The Extraordinary edition of the London Gazette which prints the reports from Admiral Lord Cuthbert Collingwood, Nelson’s successor as commander-in-chief, following his death at the Battle of Trafalgar. It reports the combined fleets of France and Spain in action at Trafalgar and how they were disposed, together with the names of their flag officers. It also contains an abstract of the killed and wounded by each ship of the British fleet; and a return of names of those officers killed and wounded on each ship. Nelson, of course, figures prominently.
