Card, 65 x 100 mm. albumen photograph, manuscript name and address to verso. The coachbuilding business founded by Arthur Mulliner in Northampton in 1760 was run by a direct descendant Francis Mulliner [1824 - 86] who was in charge of the Northampton business until 1870 when he took over his brother’s business in Liverpool. Various other members of the family branched out elsewhere in the U.K. including Liverpool and London. The firm later constructed motor car bodies over mainly Daimler chassis. This photographic trade card of one of the firm’s coaches has the name in manuscript to verso including the address of their London showroom at 19 Brook Street.
